FICCI to organize pharma expo as part of 63rd IPC in Bangalore from Dec 16
In an effort to augment the prowess and potential of the pharma industries, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) will organize a three-day Pharmaceutical Expo 2011 from December 16 to 18 at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre.
The expo will showcase a wide range of products covering lab equipment, pharma ingredients, machinery, waste management and pharma software. Representatives from the pharma industry, regulatory authorities, hospitals and other allied industries are expected to attend the three-day event.
To be held concurrent with the 63rd Indian Pharmaceuticals Congress (IPC), the expo will discuss the challenges and opportunities in managing the growth of the industry.
Biligire SG, president, Karnataka Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers Association said that nearly 300 pharma companies are expected to participate in the event, of which 121 have already confirmed their participation.
Pharmabiz had earlier covered that Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) will be conducting the scientific session. The theme of the event is titled as Vision 2020 : India - The Pharma Powerhouse. Bangalore played host to the IPC in January 1993. The event was making a come back to the city after 18 years. The focus of the event is to attract more industries to Karnataka.
